Terms & Conditions

• You must be legally eligible to marry in India: 18+ for women, 21+ for men.
• You must not be currently married (unless legally separated/divorced/widowed) — false marital status is grounds for immediate termination.
• You must provide accurate information about yourself and your family.
• You agree to use the Service in your own name (or with explicit consent if a parent is registering on behalf of an eligible child).

Accounts are tied to a verified mobile number. You are responsible for keeping your device and OTPs confidential. Notify us immediately at support@vivah.vip if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses due to your failure to secure your account.

You agree NOT to:

• Impersonate any person or family member
• Upload photos of anyone other than yourself, or photos with watermarks/logos/other people's faces
• Solicit money, gifts, or sponsored travel
• Use the Service for prostitution, escort, dating-only, casual, friendship-only, or non-marriage purposes
• Spam, harass, threaten, stalk or abuse other users
• Scrape, automate, or programmatically access the platform without written permission
• Bypass payment, verification, mediator, or moderation systems
• Share your account credentials
• Misuse the AI features (e.g. injecting prompts intended to manipulate scoring)

Verification (Aadhaar, employment, education, home, workplace) is optional but earns trust badges. You consent to Vivah.vip and its verification agents physically visiting the addresses you provide when you purchase home/workplace verification packages. We do not reproduce or store Aadhaar numbers — only the masked last-4 digits and the e-KYC outcome.

Vivah.vip uses third-party AI (Anthropic Claude) to assist in match scoring, biodata parsing, fraud detection and explanation generation. AI output is provided “as-is” for informational purposes — it is not a guarantee of compatibility or marriage. You and your family bear sole responsibility for the decisions you make. See Disclaimer.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. By initiating a payment you agree to Razorpay's terms. Vivah.vip never stores card details. Registration is refundable per our Refund Policy. Mediator commission is booked only on a confirmed MARRIED outcome — pay-on-outcome — and is non-refundable thereafter.

Vivah.vip, its logo, the platform code, AI prompts, mediator playbooks and brand assets are owned by Vivah.vip Technologies Pvt. Ltd. You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, biodata, messages) but grant Vivah.vip a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use it for the sole purpose of operating the Service — including showing it to matched families and AI-processing it as described in the Privacy Policy.

You can delete your account at any time from /me. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or if we reasonably suspect fraud, fake identity, or abuse. We will give you written notice unless the breach is severe or harmful to others.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vivah.vip's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages — including any failed marriage, broken engagement, missed match, or relationship outcome.

You agree to indemnify Vivah.vip, its mediators, vendors, employees and contractors from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms, your interactions with other users, or content you uploaded.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Pune, Maharashtra, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Subject to that, the courts at Pune have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents you from approaching the Data Protection Board of India or the consumer forum where you reside.
