Refund & Cancellation Policy

Vivah.vip offers a refundable registration. We refund without drama when you're eligible — and we're upfront when you're not.

01.What is refundable

  • Registration fee (₹201) — refundable within 3 months of payment, subject to the conditions below.
  • Verification packages (₹201 home / ₹501 home + workplace) — refundable only if we have not yet begun the visit. Once the visit is scheduled or completed, the fee is non-refundable.
  • Mediator commission — non-refundable once the match reaches MARRIED. Pay-on-outcome by design.
  • Marketplace transactions — refund terms are between you and the vendor; Vivah.vip only facilitates the lead.

02.Eligibility for registration refund

You are eligible for a full registration refund if ALL of the following are true:

03.Conditions checked automatically

  • Less than 90 days have elapsed since your payment.
  • You have not been assigned to a mediator (no mediator_assignments row in accepted/active/completed states).
  • Your profile has not reached the MARRIED match state.
  • You have not been suspended for community-guideline violations or fraud.

04.How to request a refund

  1. Go to /payments from your account.
  2. Find the registration payment row and click “Refund”.
  3. Provide a short reason — this helps us improve the product.
  4. Our refund engine runs eligibility checks immediately. If eligible, you'll see the state change to APPROVED.
  5. An admin processes the refund within 3 business days. Razorpay returns funds to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

05.Refund states

  • REQUESTED: We've received your request.
  • ELIGIBLE_CHECK: The system is checking eligibility (usually under a second).
  • APPROVED: Eligible. Awaiting admin approval to send to Razorpay.
  • RAZORPAY_INITIATED: We've told Razorpay to refund.
  • PROCESSED: Razorpay has accepted the refund.
  • SETTLED: Funds returned to your account. We mark the subscription as refunded.
  • REJECTED: Not eligible. We send an email with the reason and you can appeal at refunds@vivah.vip.
  • FAILED: Something went wrong on the Razorpay side — we'll retry, and our admin team intervenes manually if needed.

06.Cancellation (account deletion)

You can delete your account from /me at any time. Deletion is separate from a refund — you can request both. Deletion purges your profile and photos within 30 days. Audit and payment records are retained for 7 years per Indian tax law.

07.Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback through your bank. Chargebacks automatically suspend the account pending dispute resolution. We share the chargeback outcome with Razorpay and may pursue recovery for fraudulent chargebacks.
